MATTHEW SCHREINER

An alumnus of St. Viator High School (Arlington Heights, IL) and former swimmer and water polo player, Matthew attended Southampton College of Long Island University (NCAA DII)—where he saw his first lacrosse game. Immediately wanting to play this wild sport that looked to him like a wonderfully violent cross between hockey and soccer, he tried out as a walk-on, never having held a lacrosse stick before. With a determination to be the best conditioned athlete on the field, Matthew made the team and eventually became known for his speed, endurance, and lock-down defense. Matthew currently lives in Roselle, is a trainer at TriBalance Yoga & Fitness, coaches for NWS Lacrosse, and has recently completed his first novel.

JIM BLAZ

Jim has played lacrosse for Northern; Fox Valley and Second City. He has a BS in Occupational Therapy as well as an MS in Exercise & Physical Fitness. He has many certifications which include but are not limited to Strength and Conditioning; Health and Fitness; Weight Lifting and Personal Training. Jim played Rugby for U of I and Lacrosse for Northern Illinois, Lakeshore Lacrosse, Fox Valley Lacrosse, Second City Lacrosse and he has his E-certification for soccer.

Jim has been a coach for the Marian Central high school team for the last two years. Jim is the Head conditioning coach for the
5/6 and 7/8 NWS Knights travel teams as well as the Assistant Coach for the 5/6 NWS Knights travel team.

ADAM TOLAN

Adam grew up on the North Side of Chicago. He later moved and went to Glenbrook North   High School where he played 3 years of Varsity Lacrosse as a Goalie and area All-Star. Adam helped develop the Lake Villa Timberwolves Lacrosse program. He also coached in the program. He recently moved to the Mchenry Area with his wife and three children.  Adam is CRAZY EXCITED to be part of the program! He is passionate about his time with his family, (“every person in my family can throw a Lacrosse ball”) the Chicago Bears, and camping!

Mission http://www.nwslax.com/default.asp?iID=GFFIJJ Fri, 10 Feb 2012 16:17:00 GMT scott@nwslax.com (Scott Swearingen) http://www.nwslax.com/default.asp?iID=GFFIJJ "To promote and develop young athletes as winners on and off the field; to encourage and provide a fair and mutually satisfying and quality lacrosse experience to athletes of all skill levels while striving to help players achieve their personal goals; to exemplify sportsmanship at all times and be the ambassadors of lacrosse."

Whether a brand new player or an experienced player, NWS LAX offers instruction, private lessons and travel team opportunities.

A player who joins the “NWS LAX Experience” will be exposed to coaches who have a passion for the sport with a focus on the personal development of an athlete both on and off the field.  Lacrosse, by the nature of the game and through the relationships that are developed, provides a lasting impression on a player's life that he carries throughout his life.

"NWS LAX is not just a lacrosse company, it is a premier lacrosse experience."
